“ Since 1956, the Dairyette has been a Dallas tradition still located on Ferguson Road. If you like Retro food, that tastes exactly as it did in 1956, you should stop by here. They even brew their own root beer and serve it in a frosted mug. You can’t beat that with a stick! ”
Charlie“ My first time experiencing the nostalgic atmosphere of this almost 70 year old (1956) drive-in joint. Manager Michelle, and waitress Jeanie greeted me as I entered. They recommended a big, and juicy bacon cheeseburger along with freshly hand cut fries, and a large mug of their homemade root beer. Which I ordered, and promptly scarfed down. Next time your hungry, and want to take a stroll down memory lane. Do yourself a favor, and visit this little piece of history in East Dallas from a bygone era. ”
Amber Meyer“ I’ve been a customer since 1963 A throwback to the 1950’s drive in burger joint with car hops. It remains unchanged and eating great food in your car is a must experience. Try the homemade root beer. Bryan Adams HS and Bishop Lynch alumni know it well. ”
Walter Wilson“ We really enjoyed this place the old fashion hamburgers, float, old mug, hand cut fries. Me and wife would be sitting at the house and decide a nice ice cream cone sure sounds nice....there we go! Well I do have some disappointment now they close so early 6pm it causes us to not enjoy our "Diaryette Fix"! May the hamburger gods be kind to us and help return for longer hours. ”
Numunu Only“ Got stood up on my date so instead I went to Dairyette post walking at the Arboretum. The dairyette burger reminded me of the BootsBurger I had in Rockwall! The patty is crispy but still meaty, the right amount of condiments and pickles! Idk why I didn’t come sooner! ”
Simon Mathew“ Old Fashion Hamburger Joint, I got a Bacon Cheeseburger Burger and Fries. Pull up, car hop waiter comes out and takes your order. Didn’t take long for the food to arrive with polite friendly service. The Burger had good flavor and one of the best bacon patty I have ever had, every bite of burger had bacon and cheese. The fries were delicious old school straight cut, no heavy grease flavor, crispy and a good portion. Next time I want to indulge with something sweet I may come get a Float, haven’t had a good float in a while. ”
what about the news?“ We love this place and their rootbeer floats! Mom is still going on about how great the burgers are, and it's been a week! I love how cute the dinner is. It makes me feel like a teenager back in the good old days. ”
Sherry Cohron“ One of my favorites for old school burgers, drive up or dine in, either way the service is great! The food is old school great! And if you dine in the root beer comes in frosted mugs! Give Dairy-Ette a try, you'll be glad you did! ”
